This week features pictures from the Columbia Rd. Flower Market. Columbia Rd. Market is this marvelous little thing that happens every Sunday, all year long. It's very much a locals-only deal, with people of all stripes coming to buy cut flowers, shrubs, herbs and bulbs of all descriptions. Surrounding and nestled among the market proper are little boutiques selling vintage clothes, 20s fashion printing plates, assorted foodstuffs and hot cider; just about anything. And best of all, it's a nice walking distance from where I'm living in Bethnal Green, and a great way to spend a market morning.
Onwards to pictures!
A very sunny morning with people at the market...

A gal in a fuzzy hat selling sunflowers

Some pretty tropical flowers. Apparently as the year wends onward, the flowers get more exotic...

Note: if three big pics are making people's friendslist go all twitchy, let me know. And leave comments! These things make me happy. Just like flowers.

yeah, they're pretty enough, but a little commonplace to be selling in the street, dontcha know? i've got most of those growing in my backyard...:)
just teasing, of course! (except about having them in my yard...) You should drop me a line sometime, let me know what you've been up to ('cuz let's faceit sweetcheeks, your LJ does the job about as well as mine). Anyhow, i gots three papers due before thursday when we leave for the northwestern province, and directly after that to the capital of Nicaragua for a few days for passport renewal and comparisons of destitution levels etc. (see? i've got an excuse for not updating)
